The Life Refracted series is an artistic photo project that started in August 2021. I became interested in the illustrious scenes that happen when light is refracted through windows. The inside becomes the outside, the outside becomes the inside. My intention with this project is to get the viewer to look at the image for an extended period of time in order to understand and decode the image in front of them. Today, we are inundated with a rapid stream of information and quickly move to the next image or text without thinking too much about what we are consuming. None of the images in this series were created with double exposures. What you see is straight out of the camera with minimal toning and adjustments. Life Refracted consists of 20 images that are full of layers, colors, textures and illusions.
